In today's paper the editorial board of the Roanoke Times wrote about how bad the Card Check legislation is for both companies and employees. The GOP and Bob McDonnell certainly agrees that preventing a secret ballot when creating a union is a terrible idea. A secret ballot is afforded to all citizens when voting on elected politicians why should it not be afforded to workers? In addition these employees need information from both sides to make a decision and this legislation will seriously hamper the flow of information.
Most citizens of Virginia agree with this and now the RT editorial board agrees.
You know who has yet to take a stand? Virginia House of Delegates Democrats, All 3 Democrat Candidates for Governor,Senator Warner, and Senator Webb. Is not taking a stand the leadership you want?
I ask you to write these legislators and encourage them to take a stand on this issue. The state people will tell you it is a federal issue, but it is important as voters to understand where all leaders are on this.
