Well folks, with the RPV Advance this week it's time to officially kick off the 2009 election season. As you all know, we are essentially settled with McDonnell for Governor and Bolling for Lieutenant Governor but we have what appears to be a pretty hotly contested battle for the AG nomination.
As part of that AG contest, we are going to be hosting an Attorney General Candidate Forum here in the Roanoke Valley. The forum will be February 17, 2009 at Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke. It will run from approximately 7:00-8:30 pm. We are thrilled to have Jay Warren, lead anchor for WSLS, on board as our moderator.
While the scheduling is being done by the Roanoke City and Salem Committees, it is our goal to bring as many people into the process as possible. Shortly, we'll be soliciting involvement from other Committee chairs and asking them to get their members to submit questions and help us sort through them. Our goal with this forum is to educate all potential convention delegates and we'll need your help to make that happen. Stay tuned for more information.
